Turmeric Immunity Booster
The immune system is a complex host defense system comprising many biological structures and processes within an organism that protects against disease. A healthy immune system has the ability to protect the body from foreign substances known as pathogens, from viruses to parasitic worms.
Protecting your immune health starts with having a good understanding of how the immune system functions. Nutrition, diet and lifestyle are key components in supporting a healthy immune system.
A healthy immune system is supported by certain foods, supplements, and probiotics. Furthermore, getting plenty of exercise, sleep, and wellness can leave you feeling vitalized and energized while allowing the body to build and repair.

Out of the womb of Southeast Asia, this exotic tuber (rhizome), turmeric , has been used by billions all over the world for its medicinal compound. This pungent spice is used in preparation of food as well as in religious ceremonies. But that’s not all. The highly fragrant spice has become synonymous in beauty culture as well. Turmeric, because of its bioactive compound, curcumin, has long been used by East Indian brides and grooms to enhance their complexion before the marriage rituals, especially in Hindu weddings; thereby making the texture of the skin soft and radiant while lightly toning the complexion .
This magnificent spice, especially the turmeric from India, is now being used in sunscreens as well as face creams and other skin lightening creams.
Turmeric, when prepared as a drink, cleanses the body inside out. Turmeric is a powerful anti-oxidant. It eliminates toxins from the body as well as rejuvenates the organs. It is also proven to have anti-inflammatory benefits and is being used in some cancer related drugs.
Tumeric Tea Recipe
- 1.5 cup almond or coconut milk
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp freshly crushed Turmeric
- 1 tsp sliced ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 3 cloves
- 1 five Star (anise)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (helps with absorption)
- Place all ingredients in a pot
- Bring to a boil, simmer for 5-6 minutes
- Serves 2 persons
Turmeric, therefore , can be said to be a wonder of the world spice . For today’s women, it adds that natural glow that makes the female look and feel younger while boosting confidence in herself!
